Legal information

Terms and Conditions

Effective 2026-09-16

These terms apply to the LASRY Education website, parent portal, evaluations, enrollments, tutoring sessions and related communications. They are adapted to LASRY’s current services and payment process.

By creating an account, requesting an evaluation or enrolling a student, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If the student is under 18, you confirm that you are the student’s parent or legal guardian, or that you otherwise have authority to enroll the student and provide their information.

LASRY Education provides in-person tutoring, homework support and exam preparation. Sessions are generally one hour and may be delivered individually or in a small group according to the plan selected, teacher availability and student needs.

Tutoring supports learning but does not guarantee any particular grade, admission, examination result or academic outcome.

You must provide complete and accurate information. A requested recurring schedule is not confirmed until LASRY has received and approved payment. Places are limited and may be held temporarily while payment is pending.

LASRY may reasonably change a teacher, room or schedule when necessary. If LASRY cancels a session, it will offer a replacement session, substitute teacher or account credit, as appropriate.

  • Prices are in Canadian dollars. The price shown at registration or checkout controls if another page differs.
  • A one-time $40 registration fee is added to the first enrollment invoice.
  • Monthly tuition is calculated as the hourly rate × one-hour classes per week × 52 ÷ 12 and is payable in advance.
  • Payment may be made by approved card checkout, Interac e-Transfer to lasryeducation@gmail.com, or cash. Cash and e-Transfer payments require manual approval.
  • A student may attend only after payment has been confirmed and the schedule has been activated.

LASRY does not store full card numbers. Card payments are processed by the payment provider. LASRY will not automatically charge or renew a card unless you separately authorize recurring billing.

Monthly plans cover the applicable paid billing period and are not prorated for partial months. Unless separately authorized, renewal is manual and payment is due before the next period begins.

You may cancel before the next payment due date by contacting LASRY or using an available portal control. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Amounts already paid are not refundable for unused classes or partial periods, except where required by law or where LASRY agrees otherwise.

Please request a cancellation or schedule change at least 24 hours before class. Late cancellations and no-shows may be treated as used sessions.

Eligible students may request up to two makeup classes per calendar month through the parent portal. Makeups are subject to payment status, available capacity, teacher ratio and administrator approval; they are not guaranteed. Extra classes require separate payment and confirmation.

Students and parents must behave respectfully and must not harass, discriminate, damage property or repeatedly disrupt instruction. LASRY may suspend or end services where reasonably necessary for safety or serious misconduct.

Parents must disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies or special needs, ensure timely arrival and pickup, and remain reachable during sessions. In an emergency, LASRY may call 911 and take reasonable steps until the parent or guardian is reached.

You authorize service-related email about registration, payment, schedules, class changes, reminders, evaluations, security and account administration. These operational messages are necessary to provide the service. Marketing messages require separate consent and may be unsubscribed from without stopping essential service messages.

LASRY takes reasonable steps to maintain a safe learning environment. To the extent permitted by Quebec law, LASRY is not responsible for indirect losses, personal belongings, delays beyond its reasonable control, or academic results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including gross negligence, intentional fault or rights under consumer protection law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. LASRY may update them prospectively and will provide reasonable notice of material changes to registered families. Questions or cancellation requests may be sent to lasryeducation@gmail.com or 514-562-3940.
