Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-09-16
LASRY Education protects the personal information of parents, guardians and students, including minors. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it and how to exercise your privacy rights.
1. Scope and privacy contact
This policy applies to the LASRY website, parent portal, evaluations, registrations, payments and in-person tutoring records. The person responsible for protecting personal information is the Director of LASRY Education. Contact: lasryeducation@gmail.com, 514-562-3940, 4233 Boulevard Notre-Dame, Laval, QC H7W 1T3.
2. Information collected
- Parent or guardian name, email, phone number and account information;
- student name, grade, school, subjects, goals, language, schedule, attendance and progress or teacher notes;
- evaluation requests, class-change requests and communications;
- payment method, payment status, transaction reference, invoice and receipt details;
- necessary security, login and limited aggregate website-usage information.
Full card numbers are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by LASRY.
3. Purposes and consent
We use personal information to evaluate and enroll students, deliver and adapt tutoring, manage schedules and capacity, process and verify payments, issue receipts, communicate with families, maintain safety, administer accounts, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
For students under 14, enrollment and consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian. Student information is not used for marketing.
4. Service providers and disclosure
LASRY does not sell personal information. Information is shared only as necessary with authorized LASRY staff and teachers, payment processors such as Square, email providers such as Resend, website hosting and security providers, professional advisers, or authorities where required by law.
Some providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada. Before such use, LASRY considers the sensitivity, purpose and protections required and uses appropriate contractual safeguards.
5. Retention and security
LASRY retains active client and educational records only as long as reasonably needed and generally for up to five years after the service relationship, subject to longer accounting or legal requirements. Financial records may be kept for the period required by law. Records are then securely destroyed or anonymized.
LASRY uses access controls, secure connections, limited staff access and other reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies and website measurements
The site uses essential cookies for secure account access. LASRY may also collect limited aggregate page and device-category statistics to understand site use. The current service does not use those measurements to build advertising profiles.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent, request deletion where available, ask how information is used or disclosed, or make a complaint. Withdrawal may limit services that require the information.
Email the Privacy Officer at lasryeducation@gmail.com. LASRY will verify identity and respond within the time required by law. You may also contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
8. Privacy incidents and updates
LASRY documents privacy incidents and, where an incident creates a risk of serious injury, notifies affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information as required. Material policy changes will be posted here and reasonable notice will be provided where required.
